Training and certification process
What is a certificate and why is it important?
A certificate is a confirmation that the inspector has attended training and passed the professional examination, and that they are competent to perform tasks in testing by individual non-destructive methods of materials.
Who can request certificates?
Certificates are most often requested by the clients of non-destructive testing services, when contracting work, or by certain inspection services before the performance of inspection services. Verification of certificates is most often the responsibility of the quality management services that operate within companies.
How to obtain a certificate compliant with the EN ISO 9712 standard?

Training entails attending courses based on the EN ISO 9712:2012 standard, which relate to individual non-destructive testing methods and are designed to provide theoretical foundations and practical training.
After the completed training comes the examination. A participant who passes the examination, provided they have sufficient prior work experience and meet the minimum requirements regarding visual capabilities, as defined by the EN ISO 9712 standard, acquires the right to a certificate.
The certificate is valid for 5 years, after which it must be renewed. After ten years, recertification is required.
Training levels according to the EN ISO 9712 standard
Level 1 |

Level 2 |
Personnel holding a second-degree qualification may perform analysis of results, prepare procedures, select testing methods and give instructions to personnel holding Level 1 or 2 qualifications. |
Level 3 |
Personnel holding a 3rd-degree qualification is responsible for the equipment, writes procedures, implements procedures, performs analysis of results and selection of the testing methods to be applied, and gives instructions to the rest of the personnel. |

Industrial sectors
In addition to being valid for an individual method, the certificate is also limited to a specific industrial sector, or is not limited if Multisector is selected, that is, a combination of industrial sectors.
Production and processing of materials (steelworks, mechanical engineering industry…)
- castings
- forgings
- pipes
- rolled products
Pressure equipment (energy, process industry, chemical industry…)
- welded joints
- pipes
- rolled products
- forged products
COMBINED
- castings
- forgings
- pipes
- rolled products
- welded joints.
General information about the courses
- The courses we offer cover all industrial sectors.
- The courses consist of two parts – theoretical and practical.
- A working day consists of lectures, classroom exercises and practical exercises.
- The test specimens come from all the sectors listed, so that participants who choose multisector can review all the possibilities of using individual testing methods.
- If you have at least five employees in your company for whom you wish to organize a course in the same method and at the same level, then you may choose to have us hold the course within your company. We can adapt the course to your needs so that the participants learn exactly what they truly need; in that case the certificates will be limited to the sector in which your company operates.
Prerequisites for attending the courses
- knowledge of the Serbian or English language.
- possession of basic knowledge of mathematics and physics.
- satisfactory visual acuity (with or without optical aids), discrimination of color shades and shades of gray.
